Our goal is to create affordable housing for Aberdonains, while creating a free community space for people like you to meet likeminded individuals and make the changes you want to see within your communities.

Our members are involved with many community groups across Aberdeen, so we’ve experienced some of the struggles that many local organisations may currently face. Some of the challenges we’ve identified are:

• Resources & storage space
• Free & safe meeting & event spaces
• Funding – You’re probably reliant on donations for ongoing expenses
• Awareness about other groups’ activities & how to get involved

Our vision is to overcome these challenges and turn them into our strengths. Mara Co-op has been built from scratch with that in mind.

We want to support your communities in the ways that they need most, using a structure that isn’t just survivable – but actively designed to support all of us in our collective endeavors.
